Karachi commuters can now travel from Orangi Town all the way to Numaish without buying separate tickets. The Sindh government has joined the Orange Line and Green Line bus rapid transit systems, allowing passengers to use a single fare for the full journey.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the change at a ceremony held at the Orange Line depot on December 30. Before this, riders had to pay twice when switching between the two lines. The new setup ends that hassle and should help around 100,000 people each day.
The Orange Line covers the route from Orangi Town to areas like North Nazimabad. The Green Line goes from Surjani Town to Numaish, passing through the same districts. With the link in place, travelers get a direct path across both.

Memon told reporters that Green Line daily passengers have grown from about 55,000 under past federal management to nearly 80,000 now. He pointed out that fares stay affordable, and thousands rely on the service daily.
Buses on these lines come with security cameras and other basic features. Authorities also plan to run dedicated buses just for women on both routes.
