Faisalabad Development Authority Seals Offices of Three Unauthorized Housing Schemes

The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has sealed the offices of three housing schemes in the city for operating without proper approvals and failing to pay required dues.

Faisalabad, March 4, 2026 – The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) carried out a fresh operation against unapproved real estate projects, sealing offices linked to three housing schemes over violations including unpaid dues and lack of official clearance.

The action took place on Tuesday along Sargodha Road and the Canal Expressway. It was led by Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin, with Estate Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa heading the enforcement team on the ground.

On Sargodha Road, officials sealed the sales offices of City Housing and Omega Residentia Housing Scheme. Inspections showed these projects had outstanding payments to the authority and had not secured the necessary approvals to operate legally.

In a separate move near Chak No. 192-RB on the Canal Expressway, the team stopped work on a proposed project called Canal Breeze. Its temporary office at the site was sealed because the scheme lacked any legal permission to proceed.

FDA officials have directed the developers involved to settle all outstanding amounts and obtain full approvals without delay. They made it clear that continued non-compliance could lead to additional penalties, fines, or even criminal proceedings under Pakistan’s urban planning regulations.

This step continues the FDA’s broader efforts to address unregulated housing developments in Faisalabad. Over recent years, the authority has sealed dozens of similar projects, including more than 20 unauthorized colonies in early 2025, and taken down illegal structures in multiple locations. Hundreds of schemes are still listed as illegal or pending approval in the FDA’s records.

The authority stresses the risks to buyers in the private housing market, where unapproved projects often result in lost investments and legal disputes. Officials advise the public to check the legal status of any housing scheme directly through the FDA’s official website or directory before putting money into plots or properties.
