Atto 2 & Sealion 7: BYD’s Next EVs Arriving in Pakistan Soon

The company will add the Atto 2, a smaller SUV, and the Sealion 7, a larger crossover, to its local lineup. These follow earlier introductions like the Atto 3 and Seal.

The Atto 2, known in China as the Yuan Up, serves as an entry-level option below the Atto 3. It arrived in markets like Australia late last year. Built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, it comes with Blade Battery packs in two capacities.

The smaller 32 kWh version provides around 301 km of range under CLTC testing, while the 45.1 kWh pack extends that to about 401 km. Power outputs range from 94 hp in base form to 174 hp in stronger versions. The quicker one reaches 100 km/h in roughly 7.9 seconds. It handles fast charging well, gaining from 30% to 80% in about 28 minutes.

The Sealion 7 slots in as a midsize SUV, placed above the Atto 3 and aimed at buyers looking at options like the Tesla Model Y. Production started in mid-2024, with sales in places like Hong Kong and parts of Europe from October that year.

Export versions rely on the standard e-Platform 3.0 and 400-volt system. Blade Batteries come in sizes from 71.8 kWh up to 91.3 kWh in some markets. Rear-wheel drive models deliver 228 hp or 308 hp, and the all-wheel drive performance trim hits 523 hp. That top version hits 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Fast charging peaks at 230 kW, taking 10% to 80% in around 24 minutes.

BYD entered Pakistan in 2024 with models like the Atto 3, Seal, and Sealion 6 hybrid. The brand now aims to grow its share in the local EV space, where demand rises due to fuel costs and support for cleaner transport.

No official prices or exact trim details for the Atto 2 and Sealion 7 in Pakistan have come out yet. The launches mark another step in BYD’s push here, with local assembly planned to start in 2026.
