Pakistani and AJK nationals qualify through the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Basic requirements include strong academic records, relevant qualifications (like a school certificate for bachelor’s or a master’s degree for PhD), and language skills where needed.
For doctoral candidates, acceptance into a Hungarian PhD program is essential. Many fields are open, from sciences and engineering to arts and social studies.

Required documents typically include academic transcripts, a motivation letter, proof of language ability, passport copy, and sometimes a supervisor’s statement for PhD applicants.
A valid score on the HEC’s HAT or USAT test is often mandatory for Pakistani applicants. A special test session is planned for early 2026.
