Transfer Car Ownership in Sindh from Home Now

Residents in Sindh can now handle key parts of vehicle ownership transfers without leaving their houses, thanks to a new service from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

The authority rolled out remote biometric verification through its Pak ID mobile app for cars and motorcycles registered in the province. This step, done jointly with the Sindh government, lets buyers and sellers confirm their identities online before finishing the rest at excise offices.

Why This Change Matters

In the past, people had to go in person to Excise and Taxation offices for fingerprints and paperwork. That often meant long waits and multiple visits.

Now, both parties can complete the biometric check at home using the app. After that, they sign a sale agreement on stamp paper and submit documents and fees at a designated center, such as the Sohrab Goth Excise Office in Karachi.

A new smart registration card arrives in 5 to 15 working days once everything clears.

Officials say the update aims to cut down on fraud and fake documents in vehicle sales. It should make transactions quicker and safer overall.
