The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has rolled out a new online system that lets people track complaints filed through its 15 helpline. This move aims to make the process clearer and more convenient for residents across Punjab.
Citizens who report issues via the emergency number now get real-time updates without needing to visit a police station. When a First Information Report (FIR) is filed, the system sends a WhatsApp message right away. It includes a link to download the FIR, a unique e-tag number, and key details about the case.
People can then visit the dedicated portal to log in with their username and password. There, they view the latest status of their complaint and download a copy of the FIR if needed.
The setup works for complaints handled through the helpline, which covers various safety concerns.
Support for Women
A key part focuses on women. The system links directly to the Virtual Women Police Station. This allows female complainants to get legal advice and track cases from home.
Officials noted that staff stay in touch with women throughout the process. They step in quickly if problems arise or extra help is required. This adds a layer of protection and ensures follow-up.

For the Virtual Women Police Station, dial 15 and press 2. Authorities promise regular updates at each step to build confidence in the system.
This launch comes as part of broader efforts by the PSCA to use technology for better public safety and quicker police response in Punjab.
