Punjab Tractor Scheme Phase III Eligibility Criteria Announced

Director Agriculture (Extension), Chaudhary Khalid Mahmood, shared the details recently. The program, part of efforts to modernize farming in the province, targets genuine farmers who need better machinery to improve their work.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, farmers need to meet these main conditions:

  • Be a permanent resident of Punjab with a valid CNIC.
  • Own at least five acres of verified agricultural land (checked through revenue records and field visits).
  • Not have received a subsidized tractor in Phase-I or Phase-II of the Green Tractor Scheme.
  • Not have taken benefit from the Wheat Incentive Program.
  • Not be defaulters on the Kisan Card facility.

The department will carefully check all land papers and details. Any wrong information can lead to rejection or later removal of the subsidy.

Key Rules for Selected Farmers

If chosen, farmers must:

  • Pay Rs. 500,000 as their share, plus fees for registration, card, transaction, and number plate — all within the time given in the allotment letter.
  • Pick a tractor model in the 50-65 HP range.
  • Keep the tractor registered in their own name for at least three years. Selling it during this time is not allowed.

Selection happens through a fair digital balloting system, and the process aims to reach deserving people only.

Chaudhary Khalid Mahmood said the focus remains on transparency so the subsidy helps real farmers boost their output and lower costs.

Applications for this phase opened on January 6, 2026, and the deadline is January 20, 2026. Farmers can apply online via the official portal at gts.punjab.gov.pk or through local Agriculture Extension offices.

This step comes after earlier phases helped thousands upgrade their farming tools under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s leadership.
