  • Initial Phase: 1,100 taxis will be distributed across major cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan.
  • Financial Support: A 30% down payment (around Rs. 18-20 lakh) is required, with the government covering interest on the remaining Rs. 45-47 lakh, leading to affordable monthly payments of about Rs. 60,000.
  • Eco-Friendly Goal: Taxis offer a 250-300 km range per charge, reducing carbon emissions.
  • Inclusivity: Open to both men and women with valid licenses.

Follow these steps to submit your application:

  1. Visit the Portal: Go to e-taxi.punjab.gov.pk, launched by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
  2. Register: Create an account using your CNIC, mobile number, and email address.
  3. Fill the Form: Enter personal details, including name, address, education, and driving history.
  4. Upload Documents: Submit scanned copies of your CNIC, domicile, driving license, and a recent photo (JPEG/PDF, under 2MB).
  5. Pay the Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 500 is required, payable online via bank card or mobile wallet.
  6. Review and Submit: Check all entries, then submit. You’ll receive a confirmation SMS with an application ID.
  7. Track Status: Use your ID to monitor progress on the portal.

Applications must reach by 11:59 PM on October 5, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted. Shortlisted candidates will face interviews and physical tests, with results expected by November 2025.
