Imad Butt, captain of the national hockey team, expressed gratitude for the government’s support. He highlighted the opportunity to improve Pakistan’s international ranking through participation in the Pro Hockey League. “This is a big moment for us. Competing against top teams will help us grow and showcase our talent globally,” Butt said.
He also emphasized the importance of thorough preparation, noting that the team has sufficient time to gear up for the competition. However, Butt raised concerns about unresolved issues, particularly the players’ daily allowances, which remain a challenge for the squad.
