Pakistan Launches Help Desks for People Flying Abroad

Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has rolled out new help desks to support people heading overseas. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi shared the news on January 4, saying these counters are now open across all zonal offices.

The move comes after many passengers faced problems at airports, including being stopped from boarding flights even with what they thought were proper papers.

Staff at the desks will answer questions about visa needs, required documents, return tickets, and how much cash travelers can carry. Experienced officers, including assistant directors, inspectors, and sub-inspectors, will handle the queries.

Travelers can visit in person or get help through phone hotlines and email. More information is posted at airports, land borders, and on the FIA website.

These offices cover major cities like Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta. There are also setups in places such as Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Multan.
