NDMA Rushes 20 Trucks of Aid to Flooded Punjab

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has launched a major relief operation for flood-affected areas in Punjab. On Friday, September 12, 2025, the agency dispatched 20 trucks loaded with essential supplies from its Islamabad warehouse. This move follows heavy monsoon rains that have caused widespread flooding since late August.

Details of the Relief Effort

The convoy carries 5,000 tents along with other critical items. So far, NDMA has provided nearly 2,000 tons of aid to the region. The supplies include blankets, mosquito nets, water filtration units, quilts, folding beds, water cans, and 17 boats. The aid will be handed over to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in Punjab for distribution.
