Officials in Punjab have outlined fresh developments for Lahore Safari Zoo under its Phase-II master plan. In a recent meeting led by Secretary Planning and Development Board Rafaqat Ali, the Director General of Wildlife shared ideas for new attractions aimed at improving visitor experiences.
Key Proposals Unveiled
The proposals focus on adding modern elements to the zoo. These include:

The zoo covers 242 acres and serves as a hub for conservation and learning. Phase-II of the master plan has a projected cost of 7 billion PKR but awaits full approval. For the 2025-26 budget, 5 million PKR is set aside, with most funds planned for the next year.
Recent additions include a 98 million PKR aquarium project, which features a large shark tank and over 35 marine species. The zoo also introduced a Jurassic Park zone with dinosaur models and glamping options for overnight visits earlier this year.
