Lahore residents will soon have a new spot to enjoy meals with water views. The city’s first floating restaurant is on track to welcome visitors by the end of 2025, as construction moves into the final phases.
The three-level venue sits on a canal linked to the River Ravi, close to Jallo Park. Teams are working around the clock to finish the build, with a goal to wrap up before December closes, pending final approvals and safety reviews.
Built to seat over 200 people at once, the restaurant aims to give families a fresh place to eat while taking in the calm canal scenery. It includes covered areas inside and outdoor decks for meals in the open air.

To keep the structure steady, workers are clearing silt from the canal bottom and making the waterway deeper and stronger.
The site will come with practical features for visitors:
- Plenty of parking spots
- Clean restrooms and good lighting
- A range of food choices from different menus
Raja Mansoor Ahmed, managing director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), called the project a future highlight for the city.
As of early 2026, work continues, though recent reports from late 2024 focused on the planning and budget stages. The PHA leads the effort to turn this into a popular family destination.
