Islamabad Imposes Full Ban on Kite Flying and Sales

Islamabad – The Islamabad administration has put in place a complete prohibition on flying kites and selling them anywhere in the federal capital. Officials say anyone breaking the rule faces quick legal consequences, including arrests and fines.

Assistant commissioners are leading checks and raids in various parts of the city to make sure the ban is followed. Markets and shops are under watch, and items linked to kite flying are being taken away when found.

The main reason for the ban is safety. Kite strings – particularly those coated with metal or chemicals – have caused serious harm in the past. These strings can cut throats or injure people on motorcycles, pedestrians walking below, and even birds in the air. Authorities point out that such accidents have led to deaths and heavy injuries over the years.

Enforcement and Public Appeal

The administration is asking residents to work with police and other officials. People are encouraged to call in any sightings of kite flying or sales so action can be taken fast.

Public safety comes first, officials repeat. They want everyone to stick to the rules and keep the city’s airspace clear of risks.
