Islamabad Mein Heavy Traffic Par Pabandi – New Year Ke Liye Traffic Plan

Islamabad authorities have imposed short-term limits on heavy vehicles entering the city to keep roads clear amid ongoing construction and the rush for New Year events.

The Islamabad Traffic Police announced that large trucks and other heavy transport will face entry bans during evening hours from December 27 through December 31.

From December 27 to 30, no heavy vehicles can come into the capital between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day. On December 31, the ban starts at 3 p.m. and lasts until midnight.

A police spokesperson explained that these steps aim to handle increased road work and the usual surge in vehicles as people prepare for celebrations.

Officers will be stationed at main entry points and major roads to guide drivers and help keep traffic moving without major delays.

Residents and travelers should adjust their schedules to avoid issues. For questions or help, call the traffic helpline at 1915 or the emergency line Pucar-15.

These measures should help reduce congestion in the capital over the coming days.
