Gold closed the year lower in Pakistan’s markets on Wednesday, marking a notable decline as 2025 came to an end.
According to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price for one tola of gold fell by Rs2,500, closing at Rs456,962.
The rate for 10 grams followed suit, down Rs2,143 to Rs391,771.
This came after a steeper fall the previous day, when the per tola price had already dropped Rs10,700 to Rs459,462.
On the global stage, gold lost $25 per ounce, settling at $4,346 (with a $20 premium included).
Silver also saw a dip locally, with its per tola price decreasing Rs212 to Rs7,718.

Market watchers note that these year-end adjustments often reflect broader international trends and currency shifts. Buyers and sellers alike will be watching closely as trading resumes in the new year.
