Mega Motor Company, the local partner of Chinese EV giant BYD, has introduced the BYD Atto 2 in Pakistan. This compact all-electric SUV marks the brand’s most affordable model yet in the country, aimed at city drivers looking to switch from petrol or diesel cars.
The launch event took place in Lahore, where the company opened bookings across Pakistan. The Atto 2 joins BYD’s growing lineup of new energy vehicles, focusing on practical daily use with lower costs and modern features.
Key Specifications and Performance
The Atto 2 runs on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 architecture. It features the Blade Battery technology and an integrated electric drivetrain for better efficiency and safety.

Charging and Running Costs
Owners can charge at home or use public stations. The vehicle supports:
- AC charging up to 7 kW (Type 2)
- DC fast charging up to 82 kW (CCS2)
- Vehicle-to-load (V2L) function for powering devices
As part of the launch offer (valid until February 28, 2026), buyers get a free 7 kW wall-mounted home charger. The first two public charging sessions at HubcoGreen stations are also free. BYD claims up to 75% lower running and maintenance costs compared to similar petrol SUVs.

Inside, the Atto 2 offers a practical cabin with tech for everyday comfort:

The ex-showroom price stands at PKR 7.29 million, with a booking amount of PKR 1.4 million. The introductory package (until February 28, 2026) includes freight, transit insurance, the home charger, a 10-year battery warranty, and charging perks.
BYD and Mega Motor are also building a charging corridor with HubcoGreen, covering about 1,300 km from Karachi to Peshawar along major routes and cities.
