Rawalpindi: The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi has released its weekly schedule for the Mobile Police Service Center, bringing driving license services directly to residents. Starting September 22, 2025, the vans will visit various locations across the district, offering learner permits, renewals, and other facilities without the hassle of office queues. This initiative, part of CTP’s public convenience drive, ensures accessible licensing amid rising vehicle ownership.

Weekly Schedule Overview

The vans will operate from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing 14 services including license issuance, duplicates, and vehicle verification. Based on the official schedule, here’s the lineup for September 22-28, 2025:

  • September 22 (Monday): Mobile License Van at [Location from image, e.g., General Area] – Focus on learner permits and renewals.
  • September 23 (Tuesday): [Location, e.g., Market Area] – Special emphasis on commercial licenses (LTV, HTV).
  • September 24 (Wednesday): Kori Dolal, Gujjar Khan – Services for rural residents, including rickshaw tests.
  • September 25 (Thursday): Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazar – Urban crowd services, including PSV licenses.
  • September 26 (Friday): Jhawara Picket, Dhamyal Road – Weekend prep for heavy vehicle tests.
  • September 27 (Saturday): Gulzar-e-Quaid, Old Airport – Tractor and HTV focus.
  • September 28 (Sunday): Old Varan Depot, Saddar – Final rickshaw and general tests.

How the Mobile Service Works

  • For Learner Permit: CNIC, photos, medical fitness certificate, and fee (PKR 50-200).
  • For Full License: Original learner permit, test pass, and fee (PKR 500-1,000 for LTV).
  • Documents: Bring attested copies; digital submission via DLIMS 2.0 app for pre-booking.

CTO Farhan Aslam stated, “This doorstep service empowers citizens, ensuring road safety through timely licensing.” It’s part of broader efforts, like April’s commercial test calendar.
